The oldest and the biggest parish in Bochnia is located in the centre of the city. Saint Nicolas Church since 1997 holds a title of a smaller basilica, given by the Pope Jan Paul II and since 2003 also a title of a collegiate church (foundation of collegiate chapter of the Rosary Mother of God) , one of the biggest in Małopolska region (length of the basilica – 58m, width – 24,5 m; It can fit 4.800 people at once). The parish is issuing a monthly magazine: “Zwiastun Maryi” and uses one of the oldest out-church necropolis in Poland – cemetery on Oracka Street.
